iontel transmission plan

Today, the team has finished the transmission plan for the telephone design.

ionTEL will be using  optical fibers as the main trunk and drop wires in connecting to the subscribers. The plan is summarized as follows:



Technology Employed:
Optical Fibers Technology

Main trunk: Optical Fiber
Feeder Lines: Drop wires
Redundancy: to be connected to other providers/ will be utilizing the other providers' redundancies
Diversity: Microwave links to diff. telcos

    optical fibers for drop wires? are those feasible enough these days? the ODF space requirement seems too much already, but perhaps i'm mistaken...
